Are your rugs really hand-knotted?
Yes, every one. Here's a test you can do the day yours arrives: flip a corner over. On a hand-knotted rug the pattern is as sharp on the back as on the front, because every knot was tied by hand. Machine-made rugs fail this test instantly. Every rug also ships with a Certificate of Authenticity, and if a rug ever failed that flip test we would take it back and refund you in full.
Why are your prices 50 to 80% lower than rug stores?
One reason: fewer markups. Most hand-knotted rugs pass through an exporter, an importer, a wholesaler, and a retailer before reaching a showroom, and each adds a margin. We buy directly, without those importer-wholesaler-retailer markups, and sell online without showroom overhead. The rug is the same quality. The path to you is just cheaper.
Is this one of those fake "liquidation sale" rug stores?
No, and we understand why you'd ask; the rug industry earned that suspicion. We don't run fake going-out-of-business sales and we don't invent compare-at prices. Our prices are low for the structural reason above, and they'll be roughly this low next month too.
Where are your rugs made?
Our rugs are hand-knotted in Pakistan, and our Kazak pieces are hand-knotted in Afghanistan. Each product page states the origin of that specific rug.
Are the rugs new or used?
The age of handmade rugs can vary. New rugs are crafted from contemporary or traditional patterns, vintage rugs can be several decades old, and antique rugs are typically over 100 years old. The description of each rug on our website includes its age, offering a range from newly crafted to antique pieces, each with its own history and character.
How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?
Shipping is free on every rug, including oversize pieces. Orders ship within 3 to 5 business days and arrive about 1 to 2 weeks after you order, across the US and Canada. You'll get a tracking number by email as soon as it ships.
What if the rug doesn't look right in my room?
You have 30 days to live with it. Return any rug within 30 days for a full refund of the purchase price. You arrange and pay return shipping, and there are no restocking fees. If a rug arrives damaged or isn't as described, that's on us: we cover return shipping and refund or replace, your choice.
What if I'm not sure a rug will fit my space?
Send us a photo of the room on WhatsApp with rough measurements. A member of our family will reply with an honest answer, including "no, that one's wrong for your space" when it's true. Message us at +1 307-443-6070.
Do the colors match the photos?
Every rug is photographed in natural daylight. Wool has a natural sheen, so colors can shift slightly with your room's light; reds and blues typically read a touch deeper in person. If the rug arrives and doesn't match what you expected, the 30-day return covers that.
How do I care for a hand-knotted wool rug?
Vacuum without a beater bar, rotate it twice a year, and blot spills immediately with a dry cloth. Wool is naturally stain resistant, so most spills wipe up if you get to them quickly. For deep cleaning every few years, use a professional rug cleaner, not a carpet shampooer.
